Frolicking our way through Bonavista – #SplitTheRock

Two things you should know about Bonavista: Neil’s Yard on the waterfront makes the best darn panini you’ll ever eat ever, and the Bonavista Social Club has WOOD FIRED OVEN PIZZA.

Bonavista, Newfoundland

Bonavista is attractive.

Food was definitely the theme in Bonavista. The salad that came with my panini had the most insanely delicious dressing. I even asked Neil what was in it, and he refused to tell me. Secret recipe. Smart, that man.

And the Bonavista Social Club? Nothing beats rhubarb lemonade on a deck overlooking the ocean. The restaurant produces much of its own ingredients, so everything is the freshest of the fresh. Newfoundland CAN grow things! Who knew?!

If you go: check out Dungeon Provincial Park, and the lighthouse. We spotted some friendly whales from the trail around the coast.

SEA STACKS.

Excellent advice. But how do you REALLY know those whales were friendly? Did they wave?

They did wave! With a friendly flipper! I’m convinced.
