Iceberg hunting in St. John’s, with Iceberg Quest – #SplitTheRock

Back in Greece, I spent many-a-day stressing out over the fact that I was missing the most glorious iceberg season to hit Newfoundland and Labrador in nearly a decade.

Fortunately, by the time I made it back to St. John’s at the end of June, the icebergs were still in full swing. Hooray for global warming?

I’ve done a few tours with Iceberg Quest Ocean Tours now, and they’re never a disappointment. Excellent staff, lovely owners, and non-stop entertainment — no matter if the icebergs are sparse or the whales are antisocial.

Haha. I love how everyone clapped as the ice chunk was reeled out of the water… treating it as if it were as uncatchable as the lochness monster instead of a floating chunk of ice :D Still, very cool! Will definitely put “eat an iceburg” on my bucket list.
