Hola, friends! I’ve arrived in my favourite city just in time for Osheaga…three days of musical bliss, festival insanity, and consequential hangovers.
On the roster this year: Ellie Goulding, MACKLEMORE (!), The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Vampire Weekend, The Cure, and about 4023902 other bands.
Osheaga is Canada’s biggest music festival…I literally couldn’t find a hotel to stay in because everything’s booked up. My flight yesterday from St. John’s was filled with Newfs all attending the festivities, and the city is already swarming with people.
I went out last night with my friend Blair to kickstart the party, and started the evening at Rebel on Sainte-Catherine. A pint of beer was $4.25. I love you, Montreal.
And then we ended up at the newly opened La Champagnerie for a bottle of bubbly, and my hair caught on fire thanks to a candle. Don’t worry, it’s still luscious. And the bar was awesome, as were all the bartenders with beards. Don’t be discouraged by flaming gingers.
(To add insult to injury, my shoe literally fell apart on the walk home.)
Anyway, follow my shenanigans on Twitter and Facebook. Let’s hope I make it out alive.
